Living Room Essentials, Honey

I can’t tell you which room is my favorite in the little chateau because I honestly love so many different features in each space- wait till you see my glam room, which I’ve yet to tease on the blog till now. Yes. I have a glam room, glam office, walk-in closet room, whatever you want to call it (my friends like to call it the Smush Room, smh). It’s cute af.

I’m slowly adding new pieces around my apartment in every room and plan on sharing them as they come along. Right now, I’m working on getting some flush mount light fixtures because the current ones are owned by the landlord, but obviously I won’t be able to get new ones installed anytime soon because I can’t do it myself (I’ll injure myself somehow) and I need to get an electrician in here when self isolation is not a thing anymore.

I got a lot of good feedback from you guys when I linked pieces from my dining area so I figured maybe every Sunday this will be a thing- Linking everything I possibly can around the chateau weekly! So, today is the LIVING ROOM. I love this space. Sometimes I find myself just laying down on the floor watching tv from down there because the rug is just that cozy, ugh I love it. Often in the evening, I will just light a ton of candles around the living room, turn off the tv, and just let the flickering of the candles make shadows onto the walls off of the plants and brass fixtures- it instantly becomes the most tranquil place in my world.

Go Ahead- Shop Away…

Loveseat in Vittaryd White- Purchased the floor model for just $130 and washed the slip covers. Always check the floor model prices and condition of the piece at Ikea before purchasing, you can save a significant about of moola.

Bar Cart - You can do SO much more with a bar cart than just stock your liquor- mine is made up of Oreos, books, Louis Vuitton and candles (honestly, this just sums me up as a person in a nutshell)

Framed Canvas - Could only find non-framed, but Michaels can frame it easily! It’s also way more vibrant in person.

Bench in White - Only have brown available online. Call the Ikea closest to you to see if it’s available and if they will ship!

Counter Stool in White - I searched everywhere to find the exact ones and these are them, just a different upholstery. The saddle style is so insanely comfortable, I’ve sat in these for hours on end doing work. Also little tip: difference between “counter stool” and “bar stool”- counter is shorter in height. :)

Floor Lamp in Brass - The glass shade on this floor lamp has a “bubbled” aesthetic to it- it’s so unique. This is one of the first pieces I purchased for my apartment and unlike some things in my life, I’ll definitely be keeping it around for a long time. ;) lol, well that made me laugh at least.

Coffee Table Books For the Soul!: Chanel and Her World, Chanel, The Karl Lagerfeld Campaigns, The Bucket List (this is the coffee table book that you will actually read in depth, honestly- it’s awesome), Journey: An Illustrated History of Travel, Harper's Bazaar Greatest Hits, Girl, Wash Your Face, Girl, Stop Apologizing, Capture Your Style Aimee Song

Velvet Accent Chair - Ugh, this isn’t the same one as mine, but it was the closest I could find that wasn’t budget breaking. The only differences with mine is that it is tufted and sits a little lower on darker legs.

Lacquered Orange Tray - This is from a home store in Newport on Broadway that is absolutely AMAZING. If you are a local, do me a favor, and go check it out (when we’re allowed out of the house) and if you’re not a local- shop small online :)
