The Astrological Influence on Interior Design
While stuck in quarantine, I have been working very closely with my dear friend and colleague, Anthony Perrotta- founder of Anthony Perrotta Astrology (@ap_astrology), on various marketing content for the company we are employed by. He is all around gifted; not just in astrology, but 3D design, 2D design, content creation, marketing, photography, brand strategy, I could go on and on. I have never met someone who is THAT GOOD at everything he does. I really do feel an immense amount of gratitude that he came into my life at the time that he did. We FaceTime every day. Not only because we have to create marketing content for our company, but we always share the best laughs and wisdom with each other on a regular basis. We’ve only known each other for under a year and the moment we met we both just knew we were spiritually connected from a past life. The amount of similar passions, business goals, interior design preferences, you name it, can make up an infinite amount of words that would linger off the maximum textual content of this page’s capacity.
Now that I’ve fully disclaimed how much I care for this talented human, let’s jump into some more good stuff. Astrology. We wanted to somehow joint both of our platforms and come together to create an interior design/astrological brainchild, which is this: The Influence of Astrological Signs on Interior Design. When Anthony shared his knowledge with me on the design influence through each sign I had the most wild revelation that both of my signs were… completely spot on. Below we have broken down the astrological signs for each zodiac, an analysis of both of our homes and how our sign is reflected through our choice of decor, and lastly, as a little gift to you: tips on how you can refresh your space based on your sign.We’ve also rounded up small businesses and brands that we feel you will be able to find these products that will turn your home into the ultimate sanctuary according to WHO YOU ARE.

Fire Signs - Aries, Leo & Sagittarius

Fire Signs
Warm tones: reds, oranges, yellows. Think candles, entertainments spaces like bar carts and host goods, touches of terra-cotta, bright sunlight beaming through the windows , gold accents, a hint of electric taste, inspiration from past or future travels, the place where you bring the party home.
Earth Signs
Luxurious feel, light and neutral tones, earth tones, textures, natural fibers, plants, wood accents, collectors, bringing nature indoors, crystals, appreciation for food, created for the homebody.
Air Signs
Light pastels/jewel tones, airy feeling, minimalistic, grey tones, light blues, books, magazines, technology/smart appliances, good lighting, airy window treatments/lots of windows, music is always playing/background noise, easy to rearrange/open concept, inspired by what they’ve seen online or in books, learning at home/working from home.
Water Signs
Cooler and softer tones, colors of the beach and the ocean, water features, crystals, spa-like feel, shiny/reflective surfaces, good smells (candles, air fresheners), food, sage/spiritual decor, comfy bed, emphasis on bath time, nurture plants, making the home a sanctuary.

Virgo Sun - organized, diligent and sensitive (Earth Sign)
Aries Moon - adventurous, bold and excitable (Fire Sign)
Sagittarius Rising - optimistic, energetic and enthusiastic (Fire Sign)

Pops of orange and pink, brassy gold aspects throughout the entire space, entertainment space: bar cart and bar area, candles in every room even in the kitchen for entertaining, paintings of Italy on the walls from when I lived there (travel inspiration), terracotta planters for plants
Earth Sign Aspects
White palette carried throughout apartment- feels the most luxurious,: white rugs, white sheets, white comforter, white couches. Used color to work around the major white pieces then incorporated fur blankets and fur rugs as the natural fibers in the living room, glam room and bedroom, plant presence in every room to bring nature indoors, wood accented dressers and bar area
