To be totally transparent with everyone I would not be doing online shopping like I have been these past couple of weeks if I was unemployed during this time- I’m very grateful to still have my job. My way of looking at the online shopping I’ve been doing comes from the perspective that normally I would be spending more of my money on food and cocktails at all of the cute Newport restaurants that this amazing town has to offer. It’s just the typical reality for me, since up until now I haven’t thought of myself as quite the decent chef to make a lot of my own meals- turns out I’m more decent than I thought, which I’ve come to learn in quarantine. To keep myself happy and excited to look forward to new things, my mechanism is finding pieces to add into my beauty routine or new decor to add to the chateau or crafts to keep me busy. Just wanted to put that entirely out there first and foremost before I dive into what I’ve been buying. Ok, let’s get to it.

Interior/Outdoor

Solar String Outdoor Lights - I just hung these on my deck the other day and the quality is premium for what I paid. Also, they are shatterproof bulbs, which was important to me because when a glass bulb gets stepped on and shatters- that sh*t goes absolutely everywhere.

Society6 Prints - I purchased 4 brass matted and unmatted frames from HomeGoods a couple months back that have just been sitting in my closet because I couldn’t decide which art prints I wanted to fill them with. My idea was to create a small gallery wall on some empty wall space in my living room, so I finally came around to purchasing Society6 prints during their 40% off sale (ended a couple days back). They are now running 30% off all Home Decor and Wall Art. Here is what I purchased: Self Love, Baby Breeze, Sea Art Print, Vintage 1966 Newport Folk Fest. Will post a photo of the final product when it is complete!

Beauty

Will definitely post an update after I use them more than twice!

SiO Beauty Patches - I tried these out for the first time the other day because I’ve always been frustrated with the lines on my neck (even though I should just chill because these are SOOO stinkin’ normal), but in the summer I develop pretty prominent tan lines from them and always find myself trying to cover them up with makeup. You can reuse these patches up to 15 times and I’ve already used them twice and see a difference. Make sure you sign up for emails to get a discount code on your first purchase!

Fashion

I hit up J. Crew big time. They did a sale last week that is not currently still running unfortunately that was up to 80% off most of their site. However, they ARE still running a 50% off sale now- check it out and update your wardrobe for spring/summer. Here’s what I scored: Satin Colorblock Headband, Striped 1 Shoulder Jumpsuit, Green Gingham Midi Dress, Floral Multi Color Dress, and Ivory Crochet Long Sleeve Top. Unfortunately, I had to send everything back except for the headband (which I am obsessed with and it came to only $9, linkable photo at bottom of post), but the apparel was returned because everything ran at least a size too big- take note if you purchase any of those pieces.

I only take the ‘day’ Premium CBD gummies, but definitely want to try the ‘night’ and ‘premium’ at some point!

Lifestyle

CBD Day Gummies - I take these every day and have been for the past couple of months; honestly, I cannot live without them now. I’ve noticed such a huge difference in what I prioritize in my daily routines and taking on tasks with a calm, stress-free state of mind. Anxiety has been a new battle for me the past couple of years and I find these gummies help with a combination of other things like yoga, meditation and proper treatment! Restocking on these is always one of my favorite purchases.

Tie Dye Kit - My next project as soon as all of my materials arrive is tie-dying during the next sunny day. I’ve linked the white sweatpants (2 pack) that I’m going to dye as well as the white crewneck sweatshirt; everything under $10 each. I bought a couple of the sweatshirts to do as gifts for people because I’d like to spread a little tie dye love with my friends during this time :)

Architectural Digest Subscription - I have always loved reading a physical magazine and find that although magazine content is readily available through social channels, I prefer to hold the content in my hand. Same way I feel about books- the idea of reading a book on a Kindle or an iPad is just not my vibe and I want to be able to flip through the pages. My best friend influenced my decision to subscribe to Architectural Digest so I’m really to have a new magazine every month show up on my doorstep!
